![]() You have the Kulrathi (one letter away from lawsuit) which are Samurai BEARS who speak in flowery pseudo poetic mannerisms. You have a race that uses "Owlocks" as their slaves (those Owlocks just happen to look like a cross between a magwai from Gremlins and an Owl). The Races: You have yout typical Terran race but after that you get some fairly entertaining and unique races that you won't usually find in other games, and its obviously some tongue in cheek humor with the species as well which is refreshing. While space is big and you can have a LOT going on at one time it doesnt really overwhelm you if you have any experience in RTS type strategy games. Gameplay: I have to admit I had serious misgivings when I found out this game was going to be RTS but they managed to pull it off fairly well. Or you can have forward fire heavy warships for the maximum alpha strike punch It's pretty much up to you. For example you can have broadside heavy warships to deliver the most damage while maneuvering. Ship design: A very detailed but relatively simple to use ship creation tool let's you design your ships and thanks to the inclusion of things like firing archs it actually let's you design ships to better fit your strategies in combat. ![]() You start out with a single world and have to expand your Empire to conquer the universe! (or make peace with the universe it all depends on how you play). So for those who don't know StarDrive is a realtime strategy 4x game with a fairly unique (in that it hasn't been used since Space Empires V) ship design mechanism and most of the other staples of 4x space strategy games. Hello my fellow space battlers! So I broke down and broke a rule of mine which is to NEVER pre-order ANYTHING after a catastrophic "Legends of Pegasus" launch.
